Panthers fall to 1-3 in region play
Jemison fell to region foe Helena on Friday, 49-14.
The host Huskies (4-2, 3-1) scored on their first possession.
The visiting Panthers (2-4, 1-3) were driving to try to answer, and advanced the ball to Helena’s 16-yard line, when an interception killed the drive and set the tone for the rest of the game.
JHS trailed by as much as 35-0 and turned the ball over three times.
There were some bright spots, however, as Cortez Gaddis scored on a 73-yard run for Jemison, and quarterback Phillip Lenoir scored on a 2-yard run.
Shawn Poe led the JHS defense with 11 tackles and two tackles for a loss.
