THS offense powers win over Billingsley

Thorsby’s lineup on Thursday continued its hot start to the season with a 12-3 win over visiting Billingsley.

The Rebels scored 10 runs in their season opener, a win.

On Thursday, Drew Minor had three hits in four at-bats and scored two runs.

Blake Elkins and Wesley Smitherman each had two hits. One of Elkins’ hits was a double, and Smitherman had a triple.

Brantley Bice was the winning pitcher for Thorsby. Bice lasted five innings, giving up three runs while striking out eight.

Shaine Beam relieved Bice and tossed two scoreless innings, striking out five.
