Mr. Magic’s basketball show meant to inspire students

The Buffy Coleman Basketball Show came to Thorsby School on Sept. 23rd and performed for the elementary students.
Buffy “Mr. Magic” Coleman performed a basketball show and tricks to inspire students to restrain from bullying, drugs, violence and teasing.
Mr. Coleman showed many of his amazing basketball tricks, including spinning the basketball while juggling two others. Mr. Coleman encouraged students to focus on making good grades, being responsible and doing their best in school.
Buffy Coleman attended the 1993 Harlem Globetrotters training camp where a pre-existing injury reoccurred. He played professional basketball with the world famous Harlem Wizards and still makes personal appearances with his former team. He has taken his basketball show across the country since 1998 to New York City, Miami, Chicago and Los Angeles.
He also has performed for celebrities, such as Debbie Allen, Gene Simmons, and Diana Ross.
